This is our actual route across the U.S. Of course the map is too small to show any real detail, but by the time we are done. Including side trips and stuff like that, we would have covered just about 5,000 miles on the bike. From the time we leave Molokai on May the 8th, till the time we get back on August 10th, we will have traveled over 12,000 miles.

My Trans-Am bound buddy. This used to be my ultra light XC machine. In it's prime, it tipped the scales at just under 19 pounds including slime in the tires. Right now, it's a hefty 24.5. We will be pulling trailers on our trip with everything we need. We estimated a 40 to 45 pound load.

This is my favorite ride. I've had this frame for 12 years and have upgraded it four times. Currently running full Dura Ace. 16.25 pounds as is.

My sub 14 pound speed machine. Carbon fiber everything. All for less than $8,000. If Lance were to show up, this would be my bike of choice.

This is Fern and I at my 35th high school reunion in May of 2008. Only about a dozen or so of us showed up, but we had fun.
